Description
Allium sativum
Likely one of the most widely grown varieties of garlic available. Originating from the Shandong Province of China, which is recognized as the “garlic growing capital of the world”. Outstanding storage life with some bulbs remaining firm and flavorful up to a year after harvest! An artichoke type garlic with 10-20 cloves arranged in concentric circles around its center. Performs great in warmer climates where hardneck varieties have a tougher time sizing up. Makes outstanding, tight braids for garnishing with dried flowers to display at the local craft fair or as fall decoration in your home.
