Montanan was introduced to us by our good friend and seed saver Adam Ting after he had spent some seasons growing and refining it on his own farm. Needless to say, we were absolutely thrilled with the harvest and excited to share it with you! A hardneck variety, Montanan produces huge bulbs with equally large cloves similar to Music. Flavor is a bit more spicy than Music. Great for sautéing! The 5-7 cloves are packed tightly around a central stock which sends out a bountiful harvest of scapes in late spring. We know you’ll enjoy it just as much as we do.
