“Dream Team” Tomatillo Landrace is the culmination of over 10 years of selection to create a vigorous, large, highly adaptable, production tomatillo for market farmers and home gardeners. The project started with a diverse parentage of strains and yearly selections where made to increase vigor and yield while creating overall larger fruits to increase speed of picking and profitability. Some of the fruits can be huge and friends of ours are often in amazement that tomatillos can grow to such sizes. The young seedlings show extreme vigor and can grow head and shoulders above other tomatillo strains. Be ready for vigorous growth but also don’t worry too much about leggy transplants. Tomatillos are some of the easiest transplants to grow and will tolerate quite a bit more abuse compared to tomato and pepper. Enjoy!
